Travel-Sized Beauty Essentials Fit For Any Trip

The best travel sized beauty products for your next trip!

The best travel sized beauty products for your next trip!

Looking good and feeling good go hand in hand. When traveling, I want to look and feel my best in order to get the most out of my trip. I am so thrilled that so many of my favorite beauty items are now made in travel sizes! There is nothing worse than looking jet-lagged and exhausted in your travel photos. To avoid that, I find it important to travel with some key items.

These products are perfect for any trip, whether you are backpacking or bringing 10 suitcases, you can certainly find room for these TSA size approved items. Additionally, no matter how simple or complex your beauty routine is, you will find a way to work at least some these items into your travel beauty regimen. I promise, they won't take too much time, because no one wants to spend their vacation time in front of the mirror, when they could spend that valuable time exploring a new place!

I don't necessarily travel with all of the items below all of the time, but one thing is for sure... you will never catch me traveling without my favorite under eye concealer, mascara & SPF moisturizer!

Without further adieu, here is the rundown of products that made the cut:

Diorskin Nude BB Creme

Diorskin Nude BB Creme

What I love about this product is that it is an all-in-one! It gives great sheer coverage, but is buildable if you want more coverage. It moisturizes dehydrated skin, primes your skin, color corrects your skin tone and protects you with SPF 10. Even though this is a full size, it's small enough that it fits in your carry-on and it will last quite a while. You can find this one at high-end department stores and Sephora. Also look for it at Duty Free shops while traveling. Price $45

NARS Tinted Moisturizer

NARS Tinted Moisturizer

Tinted moisturizers are great because they are just one step, and will even out your skin tone making you look refreshed in a non-makeup kind of way. Great for trips to the beach, backpacking trips or for anyone that doesn't like or need much foundation. You can find this great travel size at Nordstrom & Sephora.

Eyes by Valerie

Eyes by Valerie

Eyes are very important! They instantly show how rested or how exhausted/jet-lagged you are. These refreshing eye-patches are an incredible way to trick everyone into thinking you got your beauty rest on that short trans-atlantic flight. They are a little pricey ($10 a package, a package is one use) but they are really worth it for special occasions or times when you have bags under the eyes. You simply open the package and place the patches under your eyes for 30+ minutes until the cool moist patches become completely dry. When you peel them off your dark circles and puffiness will be significantly reduced. They smell beautiful and feel very luxurious when you put them on. The best part is that these individually sealed packages travel very well and take up almost no space! You can find these here or if you live in the Los Angeles area: Valerie Beverly Hills is located at 460 N Canon Drive, Beverly Hills 90210.

Clinique All About Eyes Serum

Clinique All About Eyes Serum

Another great and more affordable product for de-puffing the eyes while on-the-go, is Clinique's All About Eyes Serum. This mini rollerball is the perfect size for travel, and a great alternative to Valerie's Eye patches if you can't afford the price tag. You can find this product at most department stores, such as Macy's & Bloomingdales as well as Sephora.

Visine Advanced

Visine Advanced

I don't encourage the use of this one all of the time, but sometimes it can make all of the difference. There is a reason those late-night overnight flights are called "red eyes". Use this upon landing to look well rested, especially when you want to look great for photos. Just don't use these too often because they restrict the blood vessels in your eyes, and your eye-doctor won't be too happy. You can find this at most drugstores nationwide.

Trusted Travel Girl Tip: Be sure to pick it up before you leave the states, because you can not find redness reducing eye drops in some other countries, such as Italy.

Mario Badescu Aloe Moisturizer SPF 15

Mario Badescu Aloe Moisturizer SPF 15

Moisturizer and SPF are crucial for looking your best and protecting your skin. Over the years I have tried many facial products, but I always seem to return to Mario Badescu (which I have been using since I was 14). Stars like Jennifer Aniston and Oprah have relied on products from Mario Badescu for years. I prefer the Aloe Moisturizer for daytime. You can find Mario Badescu products here on their website, at high end department stores, and at their flagship location in Manhattan.

ClΓ© de Peau Under Eye Concealer

ClΓ© de Peau Under Eye Concealer

All hail to the Queen of all under-eye concealers! Even Kim Kardashian uses this one, so you know it's good. ClΓ© de Peau under eye concealer is brightening and long lasting. It is simply the best under-eye product I have found and at $70 a stick, it has the price tag to prove it. Simply swipe under the eyes and blend! You can find this at high-end department stores such as Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue.

Valerie Beverly Hills Pink Brow Pencil

Valerie Beverly Hills Pink Brow Pencil

This product is more important than you think. A light pink pencil that is used to highlight the inside of the eyes up to the brow bone. The best part is, no one can quite pinpoint why you look so refreshed and wide-eyed because it doesn't really look like you are wearing any added makeup. Simply draw a thick line from the inner corners of your eye up and under your brows and then blend. You can find it here, or if you live in the LA area, stop in and visit Valerie at 460 N Canon Drive, Beverly Hills 90210

Benefit They're Real! Mascara

Benefit They're Real! Mascara

They're Real mascara from Benefit. This is by far the best mascara for its price range. The fact that they make a mini size, is perfection. It doesn't clump and won't flake. It will even make your lashes look longer than they really are. The travel size is only $10 and you can find it here and in Sephora stores.

Perricone MD No Blush, Blush

Perricone MD No Blush, Blush

Perricone MD 'No Blush, Blush' $35. Portable, natural, and great on all skin tones. Just dab and blend for a perfectly portable and natural looking cheeky glow. Can be purchased in Sephora stores.

Boscia Face Mask Travel Kit

Boscia Face Mask Travel Kit

Face masks are a great way to calm your skin or keep it clear while traveling. Boscia offers a great travel package that includes 4 different types of masks. The black one is my favorite as it pulls all of the impurities from your skin. The white brightens, the green controls oil and the blue will calm your skin down. You can find this travel face mask kit at Sephora.

Glam Glow Youthmud Face Mask

Glam Glow Youthmud Face Mask

Ahhh, luxury! This face mask by Glam Glow was voted best in the world, and it's got the price tag to prove it. The full size version costs $49. But this adorable TSA approved travel size is only $19. You can find it in the travel section at your local Sephora store. Additionally, Glam Glow also makes a moisturizing mask in this same size. The moisturizing one goes on clear, so it's excellent to pile on for an overnight flight.

Sephora Rose Mask

Sephora Rose Mask

This is a very wet and moisturizing paper mask from Sephora. If you have no shame or are in a window seat where you can't really be seen by fellow passengers, then go ahead and put this mask on prior to landing- your skin will thank you. You skin loses a ton of moisture when flying and this mask will do a great job of replenishing your skin. You can find this exclusively at Sephora stores for only $6!

Evian Facial Spray

Evian Facial Spray

Bougie, but great for long-haul flights when skin becomes dehydrated and also for vacationing someplace hot and beachy. Also, this can be used to set your makeup if you are in a pinch! You can find these at both Sephora and Ulta stores.

Victor & Rolf Flowerbomb rollerball perfume

Victor & Rolf Flowerbomb rollerball perfume

Rollerball perfumes are everything when you are traveling. Who doesn't want to smell great while on vacation!? One of my favorite rollerball perfumes is Flowerbomb by Victor & Rolf. You can find this at most department stores and Sephora stores. This particular rollerball is $29 at Sephora.

Living Proof Travel Sized Shampoo & Conditioner

Living Proof Travel Sized Shampoo & Conditioner

Hair care. I've never known anyone to jump for joy at the two-in-one shampoo and conditioner provided at hotels. That is exactly why I reccomend bringing your own shampoo and conditioner if you are leaving town for more than a weekend. Living Proof makes an excellent product. I found each of these products for $10 a piece at my local Sephora in Beverly Hills.

Drybar Travel Produts

Drybar Travel Produts

I have very thick, curly, long, pain-in-the-neck hair. Before I go away I usually get a blow-out from the Drybar or my local salon to tame my locks before a trip. These products are meant to help your hairstyle last a few extra days so that you can be picture perfect for all of your photos while away. All of the Drybar products smell incredible and they work extremely well. My favorites are: Money Maker (hairspray), Triple Sec (texturize and refresh) and Detox (dry shampoo, not shown). You can find these at your local Drybar location, or at Sephora for $12 a piece. Drybar also makes travel kits which include a small detangling brush.

Moroccan Oil

Moroccan Oil

My hair is completely over-processed, frizzy and just completely out of control without products. I often keep my hair frizz-free and under control with Moroccan Oil. I found this travel size version at my local Nordstrom for just under $15.

Bumble & Bumble Surf Spray

Bumble & Bumble Surf Spray

Sometimes hair get so messy you just need to stop fighting it and go with it. Surf spray by Bumble and Bumble will help you create that texturized and beachy look. You can find it any any salon that carries Bumble & Bumble as well as Sephora. This 1.7 oz travel size will run you $15.

Deepa Gurnani headbands

Deepa Gurnani headbands

These headbands by Deepa Gurnani are a must for me. They glam up any outfit and help my look go from day to night in a snap. Additionally, I wear them with both casual or dressy attire. It's always great to keep these around for days when you are in a hurry to run off and explore a new city, but your hair just won't cooperate. These headbands are incredible quality, and the company really stands behind their products (I've been known to wear out the elastic and they always repair them for me!). I found my headbands at Henri Bendel's department store in NYC. You can also find them here. Prices range between $52 to $350 depending on the headband.

They all fit!

They all fit!

Are you ready for the best part? Can you believe that these products all fit in a 1 gallon zip-lock bag?! There is even more room left to add some other favorite travel beauty products. Look beautiful, stay confident and enjoy your adventures wherever they make take you!
